Strolling Down Memory Lane to 2009′s ELA Site Launch for the AVN Media Network

While I was the director of digital media for the AVN Media Network (2007 – 2009), I often rolled up my sleeves and scoped projects myself, as well as front-end dev and project management. We ran so lean, it was just easier to spend a few weeks of late nights rather than tax an already taxed team.

Erotica LA Project Overview
The project as a whole was a huge success, so I’ve added bits from a summary I had to write for a report.

Goals:
1) Ticket sales – exceeded online goal by 15%
2) Traffic conversion to AVN.com – drove 45,000 people (over previous year) to AVN.com; exceeded goal
3) Traffic conversion to newsletter list – 15,000 new subscribers; exceeded goal

Timeline met: 4 Weeks
I implemented additional sales/revenue opportunities not requested in initial scope which resulted in additional $9000 in revenue:
1) Traffic conversion to Expo vendors with online affiliate programs to generate additional revenue – first time this was implemented
2) Online advertising package implemented as an up-sell for vendors; package included site skin and ad banners
